Hey Guys!
I’ve been pretty busy this past week, hence the lack of posts. When I say busy I mean 2 fun interviewy-type trips to London in a week. I’m shattered! I find it quite naff apologising for not posting, but I have here to keep you interested and intrigued by what I have been doing. I can hear you ‘ohh’ing and ‘ahh’ing. But I can’t tell you yet, so you’ll just have to keep coming back (or follow-conveniently location to the top left!) to find out.
Here is a look back from working at the primary school which I did last month. This is the penultimate look. Shock Horror! I genuinely thought that this dress was longer. I swear it use to me knee length ATLEAST. But it would appear that I haven’t worn it in a summery while. I usually wear this dress with my green denim jacket, or a cropped white cardigan, as it’s nice to pick up on the subtler hints of colour. I really love the vintage style of the dress. I feel it’s quite 50’s but the bust part is more modern as it’s pleated. Also, it’s not as full as a 50’s skirt which makes me think maybe early very 60’s? But then I see the length and I’m like, ‘Nope, that is definitely 2013!’
I never get to whip out the floral headband, but I get lots of compliments when I do. This is another Primark purchase from last year. I’m sure they’re really easy to make too. Maybe I’ll try it and post it? I think that design of this particular garland goes well with the rest of my outfit because of the pale pink tones and it is beaded with pearly white beads which go with the white base of the dress.
I whipped out another pair of ostentatious (nice one Mr.Synonym button) sandals which have an intricate strap design. I went afternoon babysitting whilst wearing this and I managed to walk home with my big toe free to roam as I’d missed the strap. Silly me! That was really fun actually. I went to one of the sets of Triplets that I babysit (I know, just call me Mary Poppins!) and they wanted help in getting ready for their end of primary school Prom/Disco. Super cute! They all had their dresses, but wanted my advice on shoes, hair and make-up. Appaz they’d told their friend they were getting a hairdresser to do the whole ‘Shabangs’ for them. But then all their friends got hairdressers, so they thought, ‘No. Actually I think Row Bow is so dope and knows what she’s doing, I’d like her to make to my hair and make-up.’ (Well, I’m not too down with the kids, but I’ve heard dope is a cool term, hehe!) I think I did a pretty good job too. Obvz, I can’t put piccys up since they’re only ‘ickle, but you can take my word for it.
Music for this post is a little old. Well, maybs 10 years or so. But I watched a vid the other day that was floating about on FaceyB and it was of 3 male dancers dancing in significant heels to a Beyoncé song. So I did a little research and it her song from her 2003 album, Dangerously in Love, called Yes. I’ve had the album on my iTunes this whole time and never listened to it. I’m mad, I know!
