I found this Lipstick Tag on Kirstie’s blog A Yellow Brick Blog. I love wearing my lipsticks, and collecting them too apparently! I’ve never done a tag post before so this will be a new experience for all involved…
How many lipsticks do you own?
25 Lipsticks, 13 Lipglosses (better buy another one to even that out!), 1 Lip Crayon, 1 Lip Satin Pen and 4 Lipblams (+ a dry skin balm which I use on my lips at nighttime so it kinda counts).
What was your first ever lipstick?
When I was about 10 I’d just got back into my super pink girly phase (I say phase, more like life as I’m still lovin’ it), after having 9-12 months of insisting turquoise was my favourite colour and I was a Tomboy. Mumma Bow’s Auntie and Uncle gave me a selection of Pink gifts for my birthday, including a vivid pink Turkish Hip Scarf. In this selection was my very first lipstick! No 17 Shine On Lipstick in shade Sweet Sizzle. It was a sheer, glimmer baby pink shade that was very thin to apply. Not really my thing now, but still appreciated back then.

What is your favourite brand for lipstick?
I’m a BarryM girl. Some poeple don’t like how thick they feel to put on, but I love a really bold, block colour lip. Although I did splash out on a Maybelline one over Summer and that it devine to put on and wear. Lovely Jubbly!

What is your most worn lipstick?
BarryM Maybe 145? I can’t tell the number’s worn off. I feel like it’s the Row Bow way of a glamours Red Lip. A bold pink pout is quite different and not many people attempt to brave it at a party.
What is your favourite finish?
I prefer Matte finishes as I feel safe that they are going to last. I used to have a terrible habit o checking my little mirror (or reflective surface) every 10 minutes to make sure my lipstick hadn’t made its way across my face!
What was the last lipstick you bought?
My last lipstick was a double purchase from BarryM. I bought Shades 146 and 155, even though they are pretty similar, I couldn’t help myself. I’ve been on a year long search for the perfect barbie, baby pink tone of lippy. Even these two are not quite what I wanted, too much of a blue tone to them I think. On my hand they seem perfect-o but on my lips it’s a different story.
How many lip products do you currently have in your bag? (including glosses and balms)
Currently I’m sporting 5 lip products in my handbag. 3 Lipsticks which are BarryM 145?, which I always carrying my little pink lipstick case shown in case of a glamorous emergency, L.A Colours Lipstick in Luscious Wine (from the 99p shop, naughty!) and Barbara Daily Gypsy. I also have my Primark Moisturising Lip Crayon for a light application of colour for chilled days and Vaseline Lip Balm Rosy Lips. Although I have been using Vaseline this year my fave Lipbalm is Miss Ballantyne-which I have just stocked up on. Yay!

What lipstick do your use to rock a red lip?
For a truely rocking red, big and bold, I’d grab my Mavala lipstick in Rubis 518. If I want a little vampy dark red I’ll go with the 99p L.A Colours Lipstick in Luscious Wine.
How do you store your lipsticks?
When I’m at home home, I have a little box for my most used lippys and then a flatter bigger box with the others in. Using clear boxes means you can always see all your options! But when I’m at Uni home I have a hand embellished (I did it myself!) make-up bag holding all the lipsticks and a few mascaras that don’t make it into the handbag.
What lip products are you currently lusting after?
I’m still on that hunt for the perfect rosy, barbie, pale pink. But until I get that I’m lusting after a deep, rich purple which I have seen the new BarryM collection has. Cheeky, Cheeky Row Bow! Bye, Bye, Student Loan!
