Pageant Princess

Hey Guys!

If you’re new here you may not know that I work at a children’s theatre. So when I say. ‘Check out my new look for work’ and reveal a pretty pink dress and tiara, like I’m about to do, it should make a little more sense now. Check out my new look for work! It was inevitable that I would eventually end up going to work dressed as a princess, and that day has come. Last week, one of the new teenie wee’s had a little plastic tiara on. So, natch, I thought I should wear mine too! I’m pretty sure most of my friends wouldn’t be surprised that I own a tiara (in fact I own two, but thats for another time), I’m sure it’s just the kind of thing they’ve come to expect. However, its safe to say I’m pretty sure it went down well at work. When one small child asked if my Mummy was the Queen I said yes, thinking well every princess has a queen as their mother. But then I realised she probably thought I meant the actual Queen, good ol’ Liz. This was the same child that believed me when I said I was married to Justin Bieber last year (don’t judge, he was down with the kids back then). She ran with that for a good couple of months… #Awks

To create the whole Disney Princess image I had to wear a pretty pink dress really, didn’t I? I wrapped a darker pink ribbon around my waist which made a beautiful bow at the back. Every Princess must be doused with beautiful jewels! My tiara is mainly gold with silver parts so I felt it was just about O.K to wear gold jewellery. I braved the day without a heavy dosage of black eye liner, and compensated for it by wearing lashing of deep pink lippy. Probs not a look you’d see Kate wearing.

Shift K3y’s song Touch was a total fave of mine this summer, and now he’s back with a delightful song for the Winter. I Know is a funky fusion of ‘deep house synths’ and a sprinkling of garage, so I’m told. All I know is that I’m rather keen on the highs and lows of Mr Shift K3y’s voice and the dancey beats he appears to be dropping!
