Hey Guys!
I am way too late on this ol’ bandwagon but at the mo I am really enjoying The Goldbergs. I’ve got a nice little routine going on with Hollyoaks on E4 at 7pm swiftly followed by a half hour episode of The Goldbergs. I cannot get over the retro Eighties fashions plastered on my screen for that golden 30 minute time slot! The 1980’s are an era I’ve always been a fan of, along with the 60’s, I think it was really fun with fashion. Beverly Goldberg is one helluva woman! #NewIconAlert, hehe! Her jumpsuits and amazingly cringey jumpers are a highlight of the show.
Personally, though, it is Erica’s style that I think is actually quite similar to my own. I was inspired by one of her classically 80’s looks for my second day of work at a local primary school. Denim waistcoat? Check (I sewed those badges on myself, don’t cha know!). Skater Skirt? Check. Scrunchie and curls combo? Check! All I needed to complete the look was a pair of colourful rollerblades and I could have been an extra on set! Also, do you remember that time I made a midnight dash to Topshop? (If not read all about it at the end of this post) I bought these sparkling 2 strap buckle shoes. Boy, do they rub, but the endless glitter makes up for the pain!
Now onto something entirely different… Karmin recently debuted their new music video for Didn’t Know You, which takes on a Wild West theme to accompany the electronic-tribal sounding pop tune. However, it is their Friggin’ Fantastic cover of Rihanna’s BBHMM that I literally cannot get enough of! I think it’s way more listenable that the original with is fun for a quick listen or two. But this jazzy number is a lot smoother whilst keeping the aggression coming through Amy’s confident vocals.
Oh Man, this is seriously #amazeballs! @karminmusic covers @rihanna BBHMM https://t.co/rCBcZfuXP9#lovelovelove
