Deary me, it’s me a short while hasn’t it?! There is a totally reasonable explanation to this. Since I started back at uni at the beginning of last month, I’ve had a big research project to do. Naturally I left everything a little too late and ended up staying in the library until the glorious time of 2:30am to finish everything off. Well, that would be a totally reasonable explanation if I’d of done the work when I was meant to. Otherwise it’s just a ‘Silly Row, tut tut tut’ kind of excuse!
But I’m back now (until the next proj!) so I’m here to fill that little Row shaped hole in your heart!
This is a look I wore to work at the children’s theatre where I regularly prance about pretending to be anything from a fairy princess to an astronaut. I thought this look was pretty caj, so I added a pretty floral headband, which I bought as part of a recent New Look haul (as are the cute buckled shoes). I’m quite impressed because last time I bought a floral headband online it turned out to be a tiny bun garland. I managed to choose a full sized one this time, Whey-Hey! I originally wore my hair down in all its almighty curly-ness (or mess as I just accidentally wrote!). But half way through the day a little 9-year old waltzed in with marvellously Elsa-like hair. Naturally, I decided to copy the small child’s style and here it is. I think it looks super cute. However, I am a little annoyed. I defo work this about 2 weeks before Zoella put up a video with this hairstyle in. I didn’t copy her, promise! This is the second time that I wore the look way before Zoella did a tutorial but haven’t got round to posting it until after her video (remember Heidi braids?). Oh well! I guess great minds think alike! And Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, right?
In terms of new music, there has been so much since I last posted. Personally, I am super excited for Gwen Stefani’s new song, Baby Don’t Lie. It keeps a little bit of the No Doubt ska vibe but also has elements that are more mainstream. The big drums and trumpet-y (I know it’s not a trumpet, but I’m not really sure how else to describe it) bits remind me of a pirate shanty, but that description doesn’t really sell it, does it? One of the biggest surprises is that Gwen has ditched the Harajuku girls. Shock Horror! But she still has a little ‘galdem’ (wow, I’m so street!) dancing around her. Another Gwen twinkling you absolutely want to look out for is her collaboration with Calvin Harris. Together appears on Calvin’s new album Motion. She just sounds effortlessly cool and this is only enhanced with Calvin’s anthemic sounds.

Wow, I didn't think it would be so simple to do this hair look. I will definitely try it out! I was worried I would need another person to help me lol. Also, I loved Gwen Stefani since her No Doubt days too! I am excited she has started to write music and put out another album. She is all around amazing and looks like she hasn't aged a bit. I am glad she also dropped the Harajuku Girls x.x and I didn't like the handbags design line she made dedicated to them. :/
PS: I (also, lol just read the comment above me) nominated you for the Liebster Award because I really like your blog. Here is a link to my post and instructions on what to do: http://intrice.blogspot.com/2014/11/liebster-award-part-3.html
