I never thought I’d be that kinda girl who could pretend to be warm in cropped trousers, but I think I’ve finally done it (are you proud, Mumma?)! At college, I could feel the frostbite kick in just looking at girls flashing their ankles in the arctic winds. Little did I know there’s nothing a pair of tan tights and fleece leggings can’t solve. I am 100% aware I sound like a total Nanna rn, but it really is all about them layers gurrrrrl!
Teaming the boxy denim jacket with the wide leg trousers can be a risky move for someone who is usually drowned by oversized outfits. However, the tighter polo neck and vest top balance the outfit’s silhouette for the more petite amongst us. You wouldn’t believe how often I dream of being one of those très cool girls, in their vintage tees and baggy boy jeans.
Side note: If anyone wants to fly me out to a sunnier climate, where I can wear these trews all day, e’rryday, by all means go ahead…
