Hey Guys!
From the title of this post I expect you’re hoping to see some pretty spectacular things. But as hard as I tried, the nails didn’t turn out are marvellous as I’d hoped. But hey ho, I’ll tell you how to get them anyway, then you can try and out do me. I dare you!
I found a tutorial from YouTube, as I normally do! The technique is a little like dry marbling, which I’ve posted about previously here. I did the norm of base coat and 2 layers of base colour, then top coat. But in this design when the top coat is wet still apply a few (3) little drops of another coloured nail polish to the tip of your nail. Then drag these drops towards your cuticle, but only at most a third of the nail down. This design works best with 3 colour shades and then a white nail polish. Use the darkest polish colour for these first drops. Don’t make the dots too big otherwise you have lots to mix afterwards. But not too little either otherwise they wont be able to blend as well. When these drops are still pretty wet (they should dry a little as you drag them since you are thinning the drops out) apply the mid tone of your colours, in the same dotted way the darkest colour was applied. But scatter the dots in different places, it’s O.K to go over the dark ones. Spice things up, live a little! Repeat this process with your last colour and white nail polish. The white polish is to almost add an accent so don’t be as dollop friendly with this one.
With purple and blur shades it should look night sky/ galaxy like. But as you see, it’s not as easy as it sounds!
