I’d usually describe myself as a typical girly-girl with a wardrobe compiled of mainly dresses and skirts. I’d pride myself as one of those people who looks ‘really different’ in trousers. But since my last five posts have all been trousers based, not sure I can say that anymore… So I’m throwing this maxi skirt number into the mix!
This top is my actual fave! It’s a really lightweight material with dramatic sleeves. There’s a small issue with blood circulation to my armpits being cut off as the off-the-shoulder slips off my shoulders, but that’s minor… With a maxi-skirt I’d normally for got a tighter bodice so the oversized-floaty shape doesn’t totally swap me. But the exposed collar bone and shoulder area teamed with the cropped sleeves helps to minimise the swap factor (that sounds a little grim tbh).
I’ve paired the look with minimal, golden makeup with bronze eyes and a shimmery nude lippy. I think the big, dark brows and long dark hair contrast the bright look really well so it doesn’t come across too airy fairy. D’ya feel me?
