Hey Guys!
When you start work at a new place, there’s nothing you want more than to feel like one of the gang. Well, I feel like that anyway. Surprisingly, it takes me a long time to actually come out of my shell when I’m around a new group of people at work. I’ve been volunteering at the beginning of every summer for the past 6 years, and I still feel like I act mega awkward when I arrive each year. But I defo felt like I’d made the cut when I was invited out to a leaving meal for one of the staff. Who knows if they actually wanted me there or were just being polite? But it was really nice to chill with my new buds outside of ‘work’.
I didn’t want to overdress for the occasion and stick out like a saw thumb. But I think I probs ended up doing that anyway as everyone else sat there in a cute top and smart skirt. We went to a greek restaurant and in a subconscious way I think I’ve channeled a grecian vibe with this look. That comes from the lacy off-th-shoulder top and golden head chain. Adding a complimentary hue to the blue of the trousers, I wore an orange crop top under the lace.
Man, I LOVE wearing my hair like this. It’s just so pretty and dainty! I tried to add a little more eyeliner to make create a different between work make up and night out make up. A nude lip was definitely called for because who wants to worry about lippy when you’re scoffing your face with good food?
Rejoice! John Newman has debuted wonderful new music from his upcoming second album. I really like the super jazzy sounds coming from Tiring Game. The song is very funky throughout with trumpets and twangy guitars subtly jamming in the background. John has recruited a little bit o’ help from Charlie Wilson on choir duty for this ditty.
Ohhh, jazzy new music from @JohnNewmanMusic? Yes Please! #NowPlaying https://t.co/OhsdzmGWsB
